ULLI CHAMMANDI / ONION-TOMATO CHUTNEY

All most all know about chutneys..this is my mum variety chutney..though i tried to make like her..but never gets that taste...u guys too try this and tell me
Ingredients:


 SHALLOTS
 15- 16 NOS
 RED CHILLY PWD
 1/2 TSP
 SALT
 TO TASTE
COCONUT OIL
 1 TSP
 MUSTARD SEEDS
 1/4 TSP
 TOMATOE
 1/2 OF  A MEDIUM SIZED ONE



 Method:
  • Peel the skin of the shallot and clean them
  • In a mixer jar, add the shallots, red chilli pwd , salt and diced tomatoes

  • Make a paste of it
  • In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds, when it stops popping up, add the paste to it and cook for few minutes .the raw smell must go..


     
  • Remove from the flame and serve it as side dish for dosa varieties and idlies



    NB:

     Those who loves spicy ..can put redchilly upto 1 tsp!!!!
