CHICKEN DILRUBA

This is a typical punjabi dish..yummy yummy yummy...it gets melts in your mouth with tandoori paratha , naan and jeera rice.

                                            Ingredients:


1. Chicken  
1/2 kg
2. Onion  
2 Nos
3. Tomatoes 
2 Nos
4. Ginger Garlic Paste
2 tsp
5. Cinnamon sticks 
1 no
6. Cardomom 
3 nos
7. Cloves 
4 nos
8. Pepper corns 
1/4 tsp
9. Garan Masala  
1/2 tsp
10. Red chilli pwd 
1 tsp
11. Tomatoes puree 
from 2 nos
12. Yoghurt 
3 tblsp
13. Salt 
to taste
14. Coriander leaves  
1/2 cup chopped
15.Lemon juice   
1 tblsp

       
                                   Method:
Puree making:           
          In a bowl add tomatoes and water and cook the tomatoes by covering, once the skin starts to split up, switch off the stove and allow it to cool, then remove the skin and blend it in a mixer ...


1.Heat oil in a kadai, add chopped onion, when it becomes light brown, add the ginger garlic paste, and saute well for 3 mints, allow the onion to become brown, 

 
 



2. Next add the chopped tomatoes, now you can add the salt, as it speeds up the cooking of tomatoes. cook until the tomatoes gets mushy     
 3.Next add the cinnamon, cardomom, cloves, pepper corns, and saute well for 1mint.
                  


4.Then add the garam masala and redchilli pwd and again saute for a mint
 5.Add the washed and cleaned chicken pieces to this and saute well so that whole masalas gets stick into the chicken




6.Close the lid and cook until chicken gets tender or ( 3/4 cook)
7. Now add the tomato pure..
8.After adding the tomato puree cover it again for 3 more minutes.
9. Now add the yoghurt and keep in flame low for 1 more mint...Check the chicken , whether its cooked.



10. Then switch off  and add lemon juice and saute ..Garnish with coriander leaves
